Data
Base Administrator (DBA) - (Filled)
Description:
PetroInternational
has an opening for a Database Analyst on a full-time basis. In this
position the candidate will work with a team of IS personnel to
gather data requirements from sources/departments, and construct
logical and physical data models. This person will also implement
resulting databases in MS SQL Server, on a NT platform, provide
day to day support for database implementations in test and development
environments; as well as assist with application and/or database
performance optimization exercises.
Duties and
Responsibilities:

- Manage and
lead project teams
- Maintain
logical and physical data model
- Gather business
requirements
- Analyze
business and system requirements
- Create functional
specifications, design and data documents
- Analyze
SQL code for performance
Requirements:
- Prior experience
in development of MIS/online/transaction processing systems. Knowledge
of client/server, architecture and LAN/WAN/Internet connectivity
desires.
- Must be
flexible and willing to work in a fast paced dynamic environment.
- At least
4 years DBA experience on large-scale application data-models,
with a solid knowledge of MS SQL Server required, and Oracle RDBMS
is optional.
- Solid knowledge
of data modeling techniques.
- Solid data
management skills.
- Solid experience
in SQL, Stored Procedures, Triggers, and data access optimizations.
- Working
knowledge of dB modeling tool – ERWIN or other.
- At least
2 years development experience of Web based applications.
- Solid knowledge
of Cold Fusion
- Working
skills of enterprise database backup/restore, replication, and
data-warehouse technology are desired.
- Must have
good oral/written communication skills.
- Windows
NT 4.0 Server.
